Feels solid as a tank, Serene road manners, Classic proportions.
Above average thirst for fuel, Very costly to own/maintain.
I purchased my Rolls last year with the intention of driving it myself. I love driving, and I love luxury cars, and to me, the Phantom is the only car currently built that offers the top of the line, hand crafted class, and purity of purpose, that was offered by my favorite "high-luxury" car, the Bentley Arnage, which unfortunately is no longer produced. So aside from this car, they really don't make 'em like this anymore. The Rolls-Royce Phantom has massive road presence, and feels very solid. A little softer than the old Bentley for better or worse, but still relatively light on it's feet for such a large car, so it doesn't feel like too much of a handful in confined spaces - no more than a Chevy Suburban anyway - that's not to say it handles like a truck! With ample power from the silky smooth V12 engine, and a well buttoned down suspension, the Phantom can be hustled with ease, especially on the highway, where the car really displays it's pedigree, as there is little to none of the wind noise or vibration common to other vehicles at these speeds. Even the engine remains barely perceptible under most circumstances. It's a fast ticket to a speeding infraction if you don't mind the throttle. As far as quality, the level of finish, inside and out, is exactly what you would expect of a Rolls-Royce, let alone any $400k+ car. There is very little plastic, which is very important to me. The interior is wall to wall leather, lacquered wood, wool carpeting, chromed aluminum, and glass. No cheap stuff. From the driver's seat, visibility is decent, even the large C pillars do not really obstruct the rearward view. the belt line is high, which makes you feel very secure, and also kind of like a little kid! Of special note, is the stereo, it's fantastic! For factory systems, I would rate it even higher than the one in the Lexus LS, which is also very good. Being in this car is really a special experience. Understandably, the Phantom gets many looks, which is great if you crave attention. If you're like me, and don't desire the "celebrity treatment", window tint is a great option. But even still, be prepared for lots of remarks (mostly good) and questions. Could be worse! The Rolls-Royce Phantom is nearly half a million out the door, which admittedly is A LOT for a car, even in this category, and especially in the current economy. But great discounts in the tens of thousands, can be had on the pre-owned market, for Phantoms that are next to new. If you have the means, and really want the cream of the crop, this full size "Roller" is choice. So far, nothing has broken, or failed, and with regular maintenance, I don't expect for there to. She starts on every cue. A great automobile, and a true Rolls-Royce!

alittle hard on the pocket book
I love this car but the payment is $5564 per month and I only make $6,000 so its been difficult on the wife and kids. They just don't like living in a car. The cats don't mind it however. One thing I love about this car is the speedometers says it will go 160 miles per hour and it will actually travel that fast, but don't do this in a school zone because the fines are double. I drove it to my class reunion instead of my second car which is a 1998 Dodge dart. I thought this car would have a bigger effect and it did. The home coming queen went home with me. She wanted to go out to dinner but I told her about the payment and thus I couldn't afford dinner. She then took a cab home. Oh Well I still have the cat.

Small noise in the back and a little pricy but its worth it!
I love it, never thought I would want one but when I bought it I knew right away that this car is what I've always wanted. The driver thinks it doesn't have the greatest handling but when I drove it I would give 9/10. And the little noise that everyones talking about was there to but I had it fixed. I loved the car! Also a bit pricey but I think its worth every penny!

Everything. It is arguably the greatest sedan in the world. Maybe in History.
There was a phantom (no pun intended) squeak in the trunk that has been fixed.
The con was just a way to say that no car is perfect. This is definately a car to ride in the back of. Most of the great features are for the rear seat passengers. I of course have driven it and it is a great handling car. The only car that I would even compare this to is the SWB Maybach. One of my best friends has one and I have ridden in it quite a bit and with you eyes closed you can't tell it from a MB S Class. I will never own another driven car unless I go for a vintage car like a SWB MB 600 from the late 70's. If you drive one and are not recognized you look like a paid driver rather than the owner.

supreme looks, british craftsmanship, reputation behind the flying lady
I bought this phantom at base price, the moment I saw this car I knew it's made for me all along. The car was perfect throughout and is a real head turner. This is the car for the ultimate enthusist who live for fine cars, and anyone else who want to join the Elites behind the wheel of the Flying Lady. Its craftsmanship is stunning,I couldn't believe that someone can acually make something like that. In general, this is a really nice car and everyone should own one.

Very nice looks. A real head turner.
Also, there was a squeek in the trunk that couldn't be located, and the toaster continued to burn the toast even after I had it back to the dealer for adjustments. Other than that it's a pretty nice car.
