2009 Maserati Quattroporte review

Date

February 11 2010

Model

Maserati Quattroporte

Pros

This car is beautiful sitting anywhere.

Cons

Reliability is somewhat in question, very sad.

Overall

I have owned this car for a little over a year. It is not my primary transportation. I have log about 6,300 miles, and I have become personal friends with the service department manager. That is not a good thing.

Pros

Luxury in a sports car daily drive New Transmission Great Engine Style Interior Fit and Finish

Cons

Absolutely nothing

Overall

The 2009 QP is a joy to drive. More like my 2005 Porsche 4sc than my wife's Lexus LS460. The QP has style, performance, luxury in a four door sedan. Exciting exhaust sound, engine sound, road hugging suspension. I have spent 3000 fun filled miles in this car and it is now my daily drive. Can't think of anything else for a description except "awsome, way to go Maserati"

Model

Maserati Quattroporte

Pros

It is so beautiful.

Cons

It is unreliable.

Overall

The car is exquisite. The leather is better than you can believe. Mine is piped. The wood on the inside is perfect. It is very fast. I have gone 130 mph and was no where near the floor. Now for the negatives. I had a problem with the check engine light coming on as a result of a seal problem in the gas tank. There have been asorted rattles that have been sorted out. There has also been an ongoing situation with the injectors and the pickup. As with most Maserati products you are treated as a second class citizen at the Ferrari service department. The resale value goes down like a rock. All in all I probably would not buy another one. But, I must really say it has been fun to drive when it is on its game.
